The Selfie

Jumbotron. That’s not always what they call it; that’s not always what it is. But you know what I mean – one of those gigantic, big-screen, electronic scoreboards they have out there at the ballpark.

I was watching the ballgame on television the other day. There was a brief break in the on-field action so the TV crew shined the camera on some guy down in the stands.

The guy suddenly recognized himself way up there on the Jumbotron. He whipped out his Smartphone, focused quickly and snapped a ‘selfie’ of —

some guy on the Jumbotron holding his Smartphone in front of his face.

I suspected he wouldn’t recognize his error until he excitedly shared that ‘selfie’ with his friends.
