Things Remembered: The Edmund Fitzgerald
Despite the sinking of The Edmund Fitzgerald and the haunting melody about it and also despite a four-year waiting list I was so desperate for work at one point I even applied for a Merchant Marine Seaman’s Card, Viz.:
