I’ve attended elementary school, junior high school, three high schools and four colleges. I was an off year student; meaning my school year generally started/ended in January instead of September. These fill-in-the-blank or Choose One dialog boxes in Facebook and elsewhere hardly fit my adventures in education. For example: I attended high school from 1964 to 1968 but officially graduated in 1975, long after having obtained a high school equivalency (GED) back in 1968. My forays at college spanned the years 1971 to 1978, beginning while I was still in the U. S. Army. The difficulty lies in the question of what year I should put down in the search engines: The year(s) I attended or the year(s) I was supposed to have graduated?
As far as I am concerned: The G.I. Bill of Rights is a myth.
